Love God Love Others
Our youth group is designed for 6-12 graders. This is a place where we share stories, laughter, tears, and love. We want our students to understand they were created with a purpose by an amazing God. We believe that our students are young champions and world changers, and we encourage them in every aspect of their life. We don’t just spend Wednesday with our students we hangout or talk or text throughout the week and we walk with them in their individual faith journey.
A typical Wednesday Night Youth Group during the school year is from 7-8:00pm. We start in the chapel (located on the second floor) we start with a fun icebreaker game, then have a worship service consisting of a couple worship songs and a message designed around them. After the message we have a discussion time where they can open up and speak in a safe space. We finish with a large group game and lots of laughter. Throughout the year we do a monthly fun activity, some months we split middle and high school and some months we keep them together. We go on retreats, mission trips, and we go to summer camp.
In October, head to Aberdeen, SD, to join youth from ND and SD in worship, learning and fun. This weekend event for 6th-12th graders is led by the Dakotas Conference council on Youth Ministry.
Winter Connection is an opportunity for youth to gather, share, worship, and serve others. Our theme for 2025 is Don't be a jerk," and our scripture is John 3:16-17.
Our E-Sports team is for 6-12 graders. We practice for 9 weeks on a specific game and then on week 10 we have a competition, sometimes with each other and sometimes with other esports teams in our area. Our practices are on Wednesdays during the school year from 6-7pm. We serve a community meal at 5:00pm and invite everyone to enjoy the meal with us then go to practice. Immediately following E-Sports practice all students are invited to join us at youth group.
Summer Mission Trip 2025 is an intergenerational mission trip to Alaska "The Last Frontier". We will be traveling to Alaska in July of 2025. The cost is $1800.00 per person. $200 deposit is due at registration which is open from September 1 through October 1. Throughout the year we will help to offset the cost through fundraising and the trip needs to be paid for in full by February 21, 2025.
We have a tutoring center open on Wednesdays during the school year for students in grades 6-12 from 3:30-5. Here students can receive homework help in a safe environment. We serve a community meal at 5:00pm and invite the students to stay and enjoy the meal with us.
