VBS for Pre-K-5th Grader August 5-8 from 5:30-8:30

Dinner is included

Growing spiritually doesn’t have to be an unsolved mystery! Take a four-day journey with kid detectives as they dig into a few of Jesus’ parables to solve the mysteries of how to grow their faith, how to care for, serve, and love others. They’ll discover that the answers have been there all along: spend time with God, spend time with others, use your gifts, and share your story.

Memory Verse: Ephesians 3:4

Polar Express

Join us for an afternoon of fun as we board the Polar Express. We will travel to the North Pole for an afternoon of fun through, crafts, cookies, the sharing of the Polar Express story and we will look at Mark 5:36.

CANDY LAND

Our Candy Land event is a fun, safe and WARM alternative to trick or treating. Families get the opportunity to participate in a giant Candy Land game in our fellowship hall. Through this event we will explore Proverbs 14:12.  In Candy Land, we travel through a world of nothing but candy. In real life, a diet of nothing but candy can be very harmful. It feels good, but it’s not good for us. “If it feels good, do it,” is a dangerous way to live. Doing what feels good only hurts us and others. Doing what is right is not always easy, but in the long run it is the best thing for us.

Children's Christmas Program

Each year on the third Sunday of Advent our children lead us in worship as they share the Christmas story.

Kick Off Karnival

Make plans to join in the intergenerational fun! We start our Sunday School/Youth Ministy/Program year with a Kick Off Karnival the Sunday after Labor day.

Faith in Fiction

March is National Reading Month!  Fargo First Church celebrates the joy of reading by giving a book to each child ages 0-8 years old. Each book comes with an discussion and activity sheet.  The books emphasize our church values and the teachings of Jesus.

Passport to Easter

Join the incredible journey that Jesus takes between Palm Sunday and Easter as we celebrate the most important story of our faith. There are special activities for kids at all Holy Week Services and an intergenerational learning experinece on Wednesday as we Journey with Jesus. Kids make your passport during Sunday School on Palm Sunday and collect stickers all week long.

Backpack Blessing

We set aside a Sunday in August to bless our children, teachers and staff as they head back to school.

Special Bible Events

During worship on the last Sunday in September we gift all our 3rd graders with their very own Adventure Bible.  Then on a weekend in October, we head out to Wesley Acres United Methodist Church Camp with parents and 3rd-5th graders to dig into scripture at our 24 hour Bible Adventure Retreat.
