Book Club

Enjoy Monthly discussion on a selected book. The club meets the first Monday of the month at 7:00 pm to discuss the most recent book.

Cafe 1st

First Foods origionally began in 1996. Today Cafe First provides community meals on Wednesday evenings 5pm-6pm and Thursdays Lunch With a Purpose, 11am-12:30pm. Cafe First also provides various meals all year long for many of the ministries that take place at Fargo First. On Christmas Day Cafe First feeds about 600 people. We are so grateful to Cafe First Co-Coordinators Phyllis Crowe and Pat Morrison for the many ways they feed the church and community. Care Team Ministry

 Join the Care Team Ministry to help with visitation to homebound, care to those needing support, grief booklet ministry, sending care cards and birthday cards to those over eighty and to kids ages 5-11, organizing social outings and workshops. 

The Care Team generally meets once a month on a Thursday morning at 9:00 am. Attendance at this meeting is not required participate on the team. Contact the office for more information or to volunteer, 701-232-4416 or firstumc@firstumcfargo.org

 

Caring Closet

This ministry provides free children’s clothing to anyone in need.  The service is open to the public on the first and third Tuesday of the month 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM in the church fellowship hall. Volunteers meet weekly Monday morning to sort donations received. If you would like to help out in any way, please contact the office, 701-232-4416 or firstumc@firstumcfargo.org

Crafters In Action

 Crafters In Action (C.I.A.) C.I.A. began in January of 2024 by a group of women who love to craft. Together we share in ideas, laughter, and Jesus. See calendar and bulletin/e-news for details. 

Current Mission Project

Year round you can participate in a mission project. For some of the projects we collect donations at other times we are volunteering in our community.  Details about this month's project can be found in the weekly worship buletin, through our e-news or by calling the office. 

First Women

Group

Gather. Grow. Go. The purpose of First Women is to build up, encourage, inspire, and strengthen women of all ages and stages in our communities with spiritual truth and love. Sisters in Christ; Sisters for life!  Details about current events can be found in the weekly worship bulletin, through our e-news or by calling the office. First Women meets on Thursdays at 1pm plus various special events. See calendar and bulletin/e-news for details. 

Men's Group

All men are invited and welcome to join us as we gather at 7:00 pm the 2nd Sunday of each month for a devotion, prayer and conversation.  This group meets at the church in the Celebration Center on the 1st floor. Summer schedule varies. Contact the office for details, 701-232-4416.

Moms Night Out

New for 2024/2025 School year. on the 2nd  and 4th Thursdays of the month drop your kids off birth-12 years old from 5:30-7:30 and go enjoy a couple of hours doing whatever you want. Date night with your spouse, grocery shopping without the littles, take a NAP, enjoy a quiet hot meal, the possibilities are endless. We will provide a meal for your child as well as fun programming and craft time centered around Jesus. Mom's Night out begins September 12, 2024.  If the church is closed, programs are canceled.12 Sign up is not required but is preferred so we can plan accordingly. Prayer Shawl Ministry

Join the Prayer Shawl Ministry Wednesday nights at 6:00 pm on the 1st floor lobby to create prayer shawls to distribute to various ministries around the state. Other crafters and drop-in guests are welcome. This group meets September through April. 

Quilters

No experience required. The quilting group meets each week on Tuesdays at 1:00 pm on floor B. Helping is as simple as tying a knot.  The quilts are distributed to various ministries around the state. For additional information call the church office, 701-232-4416.

Second Chance Ministries

This ministry is rooted in Heb 13:3 (3 Remember those who are in prison, as though in prison with them, and those who are mistreated, since you also are in the body). It says remember those people; we believe that prison is more than bars. It is anything that keeps you knowing the love of God. We want to walk alongside those who are struggling. Helping our brothers and sisters in Christ to experience His love and grace. No sin is too big for Him. For additional information call the church office, 701-232-4416. 

Tech Crew

Volunteers on the Tech Crew assist with sound and video during worship. Training provided. If you are willing to help with technology on Sunday mornings contact the office and we will put you in contact with the team leader. 

United Women in Faith

United Women in Faith is a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons though Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of missions. Circles (Small Groups) meet monthly. If interested, please contact the office for more information.

Women Who Nurture

Women Who Nurture meets September through May on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month beginning at 5pm. On the first Sunday of each month, we have a study, program or speaker and on the 3rd Sunday of the month we go out in the community and have some fun. Women Who Nurture is open to all women.
